With serious rockstar pedigree (her dad is Queen drummer Roger Taylor), Tigerlily Taylor has the effortless up-all-night style that comes with the territory nailed. Living a life of polar opposites, when she is not shooting magazine covers or attending tight-guestlist parties in transparent slip dresses or silk-tie scarves, the self-confessed "dork" can be found at home revising for her exams. As she stepped out of her home city to sit front row at the Marc Cain show during Berlin Fashion Week, we caught up with the model-cum-student:
What is your favourite thing about Berlin?
It's such a creative city and has so many subcultures. There is lots of graffiti.
What's your must visit location in the city?
I have been to Museum Island so this time I would like to visit some contemporary galleries. The abandoned amusement park "Spreepark" sounds like a great place to photograph and I still have to go to Berghain!
What was your favourite look from the show?
One of my favourites was the long red and white dress which closed the show. I also loved the red jacket with velvet tie and suit trousers, as well as all the fun fake-fur pieces.
Do you have a favourite Marc Cain item in your wardrobe?
Yes, the leather trousers and animal print coat I wore to the show.
What's top of your playlist at the moment?
Freddie Gibbs, Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik. I have the whole album on repeat and I've just downloaded David Bowie's last album.
What has been your biggest style mistake?
Chopping all my hair off and dying it red like Kurt Cobain when I was 15. You have to go through the mullet stage before it grows back properly.
What is your favourite style decade?
The Nineties probably, with a bit of Seventies thrown in for special occasions.
What is the best life advice you have ever been given?
Don't burn out too young. It sounds depressing but young people always need to remember to slow down a bit and try not to grow up too fast.
